Thanks everyone for your particpation in this year’s Walk for Wesley! I believe we had close to 100 people come out and enjoy a day of walking, some great music by A Storybook Romance, and burgers and dogs. I hope everyone who attended had a great time!

I believe the facility this year was a big success and the park is beautiful. We look forward to next year’s event and welcome any feedback or recommendations to make the walk bigger and better than ever!

Would your business be interested in setting up an information table at the walk this year?

Since we have an indoor facility at the community center at Lucchesi Park, we will have space available for a limited number of business or community organizations to set up display tables. We are planning on having a great crowd and this could be a fantastic way to reach out to your customers.

Congratulations to Mark Ringle from West Coast Olympic Gymnastics Academy - the 2009 recipient of the John & Wesley Nygren Memorial Scholarship.

Mark came very highly recommended by coach Vince Miller and was a unanimous selection by the NCBGA Board. He will be attending Penn State in the fall.

Exciting announcement! Starting in 2010, the John and Wesley Nygren Scholarship Fund will be issuing two scholarships each year - one each to a graduating male and female gymnast!!

Yes, you heard it right, ladies you have a stake in this as well now!

This walk will help pave the way to provide financial support to deserving young men and women to help pay for college. Help us get the word out to local boys and girls teams! Come on out and make a difference!

Walk registration is now up and running! It’s going to cost $20 this year, which will include t-shirt, goodie bag, lunch (some fantastic burgers and dogs), some cool entertainment by way of A Storybook Romance, and maybe some additional surprises. By the way…we are indoor/outdoor this year. The walk will be around a great lake at Lucchesi Park and we have the community center so you can all escape the heat! COME ON!!! WE NEED YOU!!!
